Ada Zanditon: Autumn/Winter 2011

I had the pleasure of meeting Ada Zanditon back in May 2010 and it was clear from first introduction that she was (and still is) one to watch. Showcasing her Autumn/Winter 2010 collection Echolocation at the time, Zanditon beamed with pride and passion as she talked me through the collection – inspired by bats and their use of sound to image the nocturnal landscape. The designer also told of her collaboration with Heather McFarlane from the Bat Conservation Trust in creating organic cotton bamboo t-shirts as part of the pre-collection range (10% of profits went to the Bat Conservation Trust).
Fast forward to 2011 (at the On|Off showcase at LFW) and the eco-designer is causing a stir again with her latest Autumn/Winter 2011 collection entitled The Cryoflux. Inspired by the Antarctica, Robert Falcon Scott and extremophiles, there is no denying that Zanditon just seems to get better and better with each season. Head over to The Green Style Blog where the designer tells us, in her own words, about her day at LFW. http://www.vogue.co.uk/blogs/the-green-style-blog/110225-ada-zanditons-london-fashion-week.aspx
